R.I.P Andy Irons

Irons was competing in an event in Puerto Rico when he reportedly contracted dengue fever. He withdrew from the competition and initially spent two days in Miami but insisted on returning home to see his regular doctor. His illness gradually became worse and he was unable to make a connecting flight out of Dallas. Irons checked into a hotel room but was found dead by hotel staff on the morning of November 2, 2010.
